Curd rice, also called Thayir Sadam, is a dish from south India. It is considered a comfort food by many. Curd rice is usually served at the end of the meal to combat the spiciness of the dinner. Simple Curd Rice can be prepared with steamed rice and plain curd or with additional tempering of urad dal, mustard seeds, chillies, coriander leaves and steamed rice.

Steps to make Curd rice:
  1. Collect all the ingredients.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing. Fry it for few seconds.
  3. Add onion, green chillies, fry it for few seconds. Add tomato, french beans, salt. Fry for 2 mins. Mix well. Turn off the flame and let it cool down.
  4. Put the curd in a mixing bowl. Whisk the curd, add little salt.
  5. Add fried vegetables in curd, mix well. Add boiled rice, mix well.
  6. For tadka–Take a small pan, add 1tsp oil, black mustard seeds, let it crackle. Pour this tadka in curd rice. Curd rice is ready for lunch. Enjoy!!!

Cool the rice then add curds and mix well. Pour the seasoning onto the rice and curd mixture.
