The ingredients needed to make Curd Rice:
  1. Get 1 cup raw rice (Basumathi rice)
  2. Make ready 2 cups water
  3. Prepare 2 cups curd
  4. Take 2 nos chilly green
  5. Take 1 tsp ginger grated
  6. Make ready 1 tsp mustard seed asafoetida jeerakam , powder and each
  7. Make ready 1 tbsp urad dal
  8. Get 1 tbsp curry leaves corriander ,and leaves each
  9. Take 1 chilly dry red
  10. Prepare 1 carrot grated
  11. Take 1 tbsp oil
Steps to make Curd Rice:
  1. Add one cup of rice to 2 cups of boiling water and cook till the rice is soft.
  2. Take out from fire,and mix the rice with 2 cups of curd and required salt.Now splutter the mustard seed in the hot oil in a pan,add jeerakam,urad dal,redchilly,followed by grated ginger,curry leaves,green chilly, and asafoetida powder.Take out from fire and add these to the rice-curd mixture.Mix thoroughly.Serve hot or cold.Decorate with grated carrot and corriander leaves on the top. Delicious curd rice is ready
