- Take 1/2 cup udad daal
- Get 2 +1 tbsp oil
- Get 3-4 big stems of curry leaves (1/2cup appox)
- Prepare 3 green chillies chopped
- Take To taste Salt
- Take Pinch black pepper powder

- Heat 2 tbsp oil in pan and add urad dal, saute on low heat until golden brown. Remove from pan and let oil set in pan only.
- Now in that oil, add chopped chilli and curry leaves, saute on slow heat till leaves become crispy. Take out that leaves and let chillies saute and become crispy.
- Add this chilli with oil into sauted udad daal. Add black pepper powder and salt.
- Add to grinder jar and add 1tbsp or as needed oil, crush it to a smooth paste and transfer into bowl. Add tadka of mustard seeds and curry leaves but tadka is optional not compulsory to add. I just added to garnish.
- NOTE- While serving you can add curd and mix well, serve with any south Indian dishes or any other dishes, with any parathas as well. This curd combination with urad daal goes very nice. (U can churn curd and green chilli to make it spicy while u want to add curd.)
- Even u can make with urad daal, dry whole red chilli and salt. That also a very good combination.
Fry the curry leaves and green chillis until curry leaves are crisp. Curry leaves chutney is tasty and very healthy too, if you want to try something new then try this chutney.
